Vaccination

For the protection of our future clients & our own rabbits, all boarding rabbits must be fully vaccinated against Myxomatosis & Viral Haemorrhage Disease VHD1(RHD1) & VHD2(RHD2). Vaccines must have been administered at least 14 days prior to your drop off day.

Health

All animals staying with us need to be in good health. We cannot accept any animal that is showing signs of illness or disease.

If your pet/s requires veterinary assistance whilst under Country Cottage Boarding's care, we will inform you right away. We will then go to our rabbit savvy vets and proceed in their best interest.

Cost for going to our vet: £12 - between 8am & 5pm

Out of hours vet: £18 - between 5.01pm & 7.59am (includes weekends & bank holidays)

Travelling cost to/from vet: £1 per mile

Plus any fee's the vet visit incurs.

Any costs will be payable by you, upon your return.

Please be aware Out of Hours vet appointments are expensive and upwards of £100 for an initial consultation.

If your pet has been sick within 7 days prior to their arrival with us please let us know all information about this, we may need assurance from a vet that your pet/s are ok to board with us.

Unfortunately, sometimes even the strongest bonds between animals can clash or break. This can be due to many many reasons for example hormonal surges. In this unlikely event, we do not accept liability of injury between bonded mates ( bonded animals sharing the same housing). Any injured animal/s will receive veterinary attention immediately. You will be required to pay the bill upon your return.

Sadly, small animals, especially rabbits, can become sick and can pass away very quickly, even after receiving medical treatment. Should this happen, we will contact you immediately to discuss your wishes. Country Cottage Boarding accept no liability in the unlikely event that this may happen.

Drop Off & Collection

We take bio security very seriously. No one except staff of Country Cottage Boarding is allowed to enter our garden where boarding & our own bunnies stay and play. This is to ensure we do not bring any unwanted disease/parasites into this area that could harm our boarders & our own pets.

All Drop offs & Collections are to be made at the front door. No acceptions.

Payments

All bookings are to be paid in full once we have approved your stay with us.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash.
You will have 48hrs to pay for your pets holiday. We cannot hold bookings as others may be wanting the same dates.

Booking Amendments

If you need to cancel your pets holiday with us, please contact us asap.

Cancellations: 14 days until due = 75% refund

7 days until due = 50% refund

6 or less days until due = 10% refund

If you need to add days onto your pet/s holiday with us please contact us asap. We will do everything we can to accommodate the changes. Any extra days are charged at the normal rate (From £12)

We do not refund for any 'unused' days if you decide to collect your pet/s early.

Any dates booked with Country Cottage Boarding is non-transferable.

Transporting Your Pet/s Here

All animals should arrive to us in a suitable secure carrier. Hard plastic cat carriers are recommended. Any animal brought to us in an unsuitable carrier may be refused until a suitable carrier is provided (don't turn up with a cardboard box!).

Refusal

We reserve the right to refuse any booking if:

You cannot provide proof your rabbit/s has been vaccinated 14 days prior to your drop off date.
Your pet/s arrive with any disease/illness/parasite, including but not limited to, Pasturella, Mites or receiving any antibiotic or other medication for a infectious illness/disease/parasite.
You do not agree to our Terms & Conditions.

Non-collection

It's no secret that currently, there is the largest rabbit crisis happening in our country. There is more rabbits being dumped than ever before and rescues are over filling with in-takes of unwanted pets. NEVER dump your pet, 'set it free' or give it away. ALWAYS contact as many rescue centres as possible to see if anyone professional can help you.

If you do not collect your pet/s from us within 6 days after the due collection date, return any of our contact we have tried to make with you, then we will take immediate steps to find a suitable forever home for the pet/s.

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday - 9am to 8pm*

Saturday & Sunday -10am to 9pm*

All drop off & collection times must be agreed before your arrival.

We reserve the right to change our opening/closing hours at any time.

If you run late, due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us asap.
