Hi! We're Sophie & Steve, proud owners and creators of Country Cottage Boarding for rabbits.
We have owned bunnies for many, many years and have loved every second of it!
We have a bonded trio of super spoilt bunnies who live in our converted garage - they are our babies, and they know it!
We have a HUGE passion for rabbits and we're dedicated to providing the correct care for them - they are classed as an exotic pet after all! Sophie is qualified in Animal Psychology, Pet First Aid & CPR, Animal Care, Animal Grooming and Animal Training and (one day soon) will finally complete her Veterinarian title.
Our Country Cottage has been built to look like a miniature house, just for buns! It's a modern, bun-friendly, secure & fun luxury holiday cottage for rabbits. Everything has been taken into consideration with this build - from safe paint to correct welfare standards sizing - we have covered everything to ensure your furr babies are not only happy here, but safe too.
The cottage offers 99 sq ft of total space. It has been painted in Cuprinol animal friendly paint so it's safe if any-bun accidentally has a little nibble! Inside is adorned with everything you're pet needs during their stay - this includes litter tray & hay rack, castle & hides, bed, toys, boredom breakers, daily added enrichment, food & water bowls. We provide the hay & litter for the rack/tray. Even lighting and 24/7 cctv so us hooms can keep watch!
The 'hop down' steps from the cottage leads to the basement which is the run area.
The basement area is available for our guests to use 24/7. Rabbits are most active at dusk & dawn so having a large space to display their natural behaviours, safely, was paramount in our design stage along with having a cosy & welcoming space for them to retreat too when needed. Inside the basement run is various hides including a HUGE tunnel for ultimate play! Our guests will also have added natural enrichment each day to keep them occupied & their brains stimulated.
The cottage is situated at the bottom of our large garden, beneath a huge tree. This provides full shade throughout most of the day so our guests will stay cooler in spring & summer. Our garden is fully enclosed with 7 to 12ft high walls & fencing surrounding the perimeter so this allows us to offer fully supervised, free roaming play, on nicer weather days inside our spacious 4000+ sq ft garden.
